Best option for you is using a Volk lens with slit lamp. Small and easily portable. Headband ophthalmoscope is too bulky.
But you need to act fast. Photography is not accepted as good substitute for Ophthalmoscope. So inability to do ophthalmoscope is leaving you at risk of not performing properly and you could end up in serious trouble with NHS England’s Performer list requirements and worse still GOC. (We are required to notify them both of any medical issue which may affect our performance).
But Volk is actually a better form of ophthalmoscope when you master it. Search My GOC courses if you don’t have the skill, for avaluable training course.
