Whether the chart is at 3m or 6m the size of the letters are calibrated accordingly, therefore visual acuity measurements should make no difference. However I do agree that generally patients do find it easier to read lower down the chart if the chart is at 3m rather than 6m, when in theory it shouldn’t make any difference.
